Psychotherapy for when
you no longer want to carry it all alone.
You can come when you notice the same patterns repeating, when a relationship has hurt you, when your body is on alert, when guilt feels overwhelming, or when you are tired of being strong all the time.
In our sessions, we work with what you are experiencing now and how past experiences are still felt in your body, choices, relationships, and the way you see yourself. Alongside a listening ear, you receive guidance, questions, techniques, and a plan tailored to you.
A safe, trauma-informed therapeutic setting.
We work at a pace that respects your nervous system, returning to the present when emotions become too much. We do not push or rush. Step by step, we build your capacity to cope.
You may be coming with something that is hard to name.
You may not know whether it is anxiety, trauma, sadness, exhaustion, shame, or a relationship that has changed you. You only know that something within you cannot carry on in the same way.
In therapy, we begin to make sense of it.
We find words. We notice what keeps repeating and what is being activated in your body. We distinguish what belongs to the present from what comes from the past. Then we choose the steps that fit you.
What you can bring to psychotherapy
You do not need to explain it perfectly. It is enough that part of you feels a need for support.
Painful relationships
Relationships where you have been controlled, betrayed, ignored, disbelieved, diminished, or left doubting yourself.
Trauma and a body on alert
Tension, freezing, overwhelm, numbness, intense reactions, or a sense that your body is responding to a danger that is no longer here.
Shame and guilt
Feeling that you did something wrong, stayed too long, did not do enough, are too sensitive, or always have to justify yourself.
Anxiety and fear
Racing thoughts, unease, fear of conflict or abandonment, a need for control, or a sense that something bad could happen at any moment.
Divorce, separation, betrayal
Times when life feels split in two and you need to understand what you have experienced, what you have lost, and how you might rebuild.
A loss of meaning
You are functioning, but you do not feel fully alive. You take care of many things, yet part of you no longer feels joy or desire, or knows where to go next.
How we work in practice
In psychotherapy, we do more than revisit your story. We look at what is happening in the present, what is being activated in your body, what you learned in the past, and the choices available to you now.
Sometimes we work through questions and reflection. At other times, through exercises, breathing, grounding, and exploring emotions, inner parts, beliefs, and specific situations in your life.
When your system is overwhelmed, we return to the here and now.
We do not force our way into what hurts. First, we learn to notice, regulate, find resources, and stay with emotions at an intensity that feels manageable.
What may begin to change
We do not promise a life without pain. We work so that you do not have to face it alone, and so that you have more resources when life becomes difficult.
Greater trust in your own perception
You learn to notice what you feel and see, what hurts, and what you need, without immediately dismissing yourself.
Emotions that feel more manageable
We do not fight emotions. We listen to what they may be telling us, reduce avoidance, and build your capacity to stay present with what you feel.
Clearer boundaries
We work with fear of conflict, guilt, the need to please everyone, and the tendency to abandon your own needs to keep the peace.
A greater sense of safety in your body
Your body can begin to learn that present-day situations are not all repetitions of past dangers. We build this understanding with patience and care.
More conscious choices
You begin to recognize what happens on autopilot and what you choose because it fits your values and your life today.
More hope
Not because everything becomes simple, but because you begin to see explanations, resources, and possible next steps.
What the first session is like
The first session is not an exam. You do not need to arrive with a perfectly organized story or a clear list of goals. You can come with whatever you are experiencing now.
We talk about what brings you to therapy, what you have already tried, what hurts, what you would like to be different, and what you need to feel safe enough in the process.
At the end, I suggest a possible plan.
I can share what I notice, which themes seem important, which directions might make sense, and how we could begin. The first meeting is also about the therapeutic relationship: whether you feel we can build a space where you can breathe.
Who accompanies you through the process
I am Ramona Carmen Cotruș, psychologist and psychotherapist. I work with people who have experienced painful relationships, abuse, betrayal, divorce, shame, guilt, loss, anxiety, anger, feeling stuck, and times when they no longer recognized themselves.
In my practice, I aim to bring together human presence, psychological knowledge, and techniques suited to the person in front of me.
Questions you may have before starting
Do I need to know exactly what my problem is?
No. You can come with a vague sense of exhaustion, anxiety, confusion, sadness, feeling stuck, or that something is no longer working. Finding words for what you are experiencing is part of the process.
Will I receive a diagnosis?
The purpose of psychotherapy with me is not to give you a diagnosis.
We work with your experience, how it shows up in your life, and your emotions, thoughts, body, relationships, and patterns. If I think a psychological, psychiatric, or medical assessment would be helpful, I can recommend appropriate specialists.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes, sessions can take place online. In-person sessions in Cluj are also possible, depending on availability.
Which languages can we use in therapy?
We can work in Romanian, Spanish, or English. I have experience working with expats and people navigating different cultures.
How long does a session last, and how much does it cost?
A session usually lasts 50 minutes. The fee is 200 lei per session.
You do not need to have everything figured out.
It is enough that part of you no longer wants to carry everything alone. You can begin with a first meeting. From there, we explore together what is happening, what you need, and what path might be right for you.
Choose your first step
If you would like direct support, write to me. If you are not ready yet, you can start with the quiz and explore which pattern seems active right now.
Note: Psychotherapy does not replace emergency intervention, medical assessment, or psychiatric support when these are needed. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a severe crisis, contact emergency services or an appropriate professional.
